Mama Dada Gaga is an exploratory and uncompromising film - and spatial presentation - depicting play, definitions and artistic work at large. In collaboration with her 5 year old daughter and Parkinson's diseased mother the visual artist Åsa Cederqvist stage a world under a constant construction. Mama Dada Gaga makes up with reality and fiction, questioning the expectations of motherhood and the role of women in an expression freaking out more and more. Mama Dada Gaga aim to apply a multilayered narrative of an interaction - between physicality and abstraction. In an associative form, this film reflects on artistic practice, creation, materiality, motherhood/ childhood, upbringing / liberation, life and death.
